After moving to California I started to explore the landscapes of this tremendous state full of color that fill the senses. I have amassed a collection of photos which capture all of the new, strange and glorious images of the Golden nature.

My adventures have included exploring Sonoma; the vast vibrant and floral wine country, tasting the delights of Napa valley and losing my breath cycling alongside the cool turquoise tones of the Russian river. This trip like so many throughout California was beautiful, pure green vineyards as far as the eye can see, exotic harvest fruits, humble weathered roadside farmers, vibrant mustard fields against a backdrop of rural quiet hush afar from the hustle and bustle of the city.

These pocket sized expositions have inspired my work tremendously especially the colour pallet and tone of my work. My favourite of all was the immeasurable view when arriving at Emerald Bay at the southern most point of Lake Tahoe, this composition of emerald water, boats, islands, shores, beaches and blue yonder consume all who visit.
