During a day of his visit to Melody Hesaraky’s place in Brooklyn. Jacques Morel, New York based photographer photographed some of her new work in the second day of January 2023.

These photographs turn out to be very extraordinary in the way that Melody and Jacques are having a dialogue without words!

Stop Killing

Stop killing lives

Stop killing oxygen on earth

Stop killing animals

Stop killing me

Stop killing you

Kill your fears instead

Fear of the difference

Stop Killing

Touch each other instead

Listen to the voice that comes from someone else’s throat

Look in to their eyes

And start seeing your self in them

A human in tune with the human rhythm only generates life

خون ریخته ام در کاسه ی رنگم

این روز ها خون ریخته شده ی آدمیزاد بی گناه زیاد است

As I am life

And the gift of existence runs through my veins

Here, in this corner

In this mirror

Everyday I look

And I see my reflection

But as I grow

That reflection starts to dissolve and melt

In this kitchen

Everyday I cook

Sometimes I sit by the window and look at the people walking on Tompkins Ave

Green tea in the morning

Some music from the East

And scent of the burning sandal wood in the space

In winter

Lentil soup with fresh homemade tomato sauce

Fresh sourdough ready to go in the oven to make a pizza with basil and cherry tomatoes

And In summer

Quinoa salad with tahini sauce and cold cucumbers

The hallway

In and Out

New York City’s night life

Red old carpet and crystal chandeliers

And here

It’s me again

Closing a chapter and entering a new
