In Transit
With Ballet Dancer at Dance Theater of Harlem : Stephanie Rae Williams.
In Transit is exploring the relationship of bringing a physical body to my paintings and illustrations. Within both, you can see they are inspired by movement, body forms, emotions, and what it means to reclaim our natural instincts as human beings. I started this project in New York City in the midst of the pandemic back in 2021.

I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie Rae Williams, a very talented ballet dancer who currently works at the Dance Theatre of Harlem. We did this project during her pregnancy, which brought another level of meaning and depth to In Transit!
